Femke Weidema started her musical career as a classical accordion player. At 17, she attended the Prins Claus Conservatory in Holland to persue her dream of becoming a composer and classical musician. Upon graduating with a Degree in Compostition, Music Production and Sound design, she received a Fulbright and the prestigious Young Talent Award from the NNC, and moved to Boston to study at the Berklee College of Music. In 2007, she moved to Los Angeles where she assisted and wrote with film composer, Richard Gibbs, sang with Blink 182, wrote on TV shows such as “ten things i hate about you” and the Tracy Ullman show, and worked at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control. She has recently signed a publishing deal with Barry Coburn from TEN TEN Music. She now works in Nashville and commutes often to Los Angeles.

In 2014 she won a Latin Grammy for her work on the grammy winning record Transformacion with Beto Cuevas and is currently working on the german Disney TV show Binny und der Geist. She also produced the debut record for Cotton Wine and her solo EP, and she had a song in ABC's Hit Show Nashville.
