Description
The title track suggests that the reason why we dislike certain people is because we recognize a negative quality in them that we have found to be true in ourselves. Dealing with a difficult person is often like looking in the mirror and being unhappy with what you see in the reflection. Musically, this represents the way sound reflects off of surfaces, causing it to change over time.

Lyrics
I'm just like you
We're never gonna give up
Let's face the truth
We're never gonna winThe things we do
Are never gonna give us
The freedom to
Never want againI could see it in your cold dead stare
You were running up the Penrose steps
Searching for something that wasn't there
I could see it
I could see it in a memory
Thought I hated you but it was me
Seeing me the way I used to be
I could see itIt's hard to be
Content within the moment
Reaching for peace
Like a carrot on a stickThe saying's true--
It takes one to know one
Got a clear view
Of myself through someone elseI could see it
In the mirror -

Description
This song explores the fear of dreams coming true. We all have goals and strive for various things--what if those things actually come true? Will we lose motivation and purpose? The song starts with a simple 4 chord progression which bursts forth into a driving, dreamlike palate--complete with booming drum fills and galactic melodies. The abrupt ending suggests that the real adventure is in the journey, not the destination.

Lyrics
I don't mind spending all of my time in a dream
At least then, I have direction in which I can leanIf my dreams came alive and everything I wanted came to be
Would I lose my drive and wither away at the seams?I'm tired of everything giving me nothing
So I'm crying myself to sleep
As I slide deeper inside of a dreamI can't deny it--enough is not enough for me
But I keep on trying to chase the possibility -

Description
The smooth and playful structure of this song works in juxtaposition to the anxious message in our heads: that we must not only strive endlessly to feel worthy, but we must also hold on tight to what we have or it will slip away. A euphoric 2nd chorus followed by a psych-tinged breakdown implies that relinquishing control is the only path to setting yourself free and finding true peace. BPM 130

Lyrics
You can have a mind of peace
I'll put it in my pocket so that
You can have a mind of ease
I'll put it in my locket so that you
Put in my pocket
Put it in my pocketYeah I've tried so hard to get far from now
Lined up all of the stars
Dug my heels in the ground
Wasn't 'til I stopped my striving that I found myself
Dropping down my guard, living life unboundYou can have a peace of mind
I'll take it off the docket so that
You can have a piece of time
I'll take it off the clock-in so that you
Take it off the docket
Take it off the clock-in -

Description
The final song of the EP is the "jammy-est" Rock Eupora song to date, and addresses the cyclical nature of bad habits. Rather than wallowing in the rut of pity and defeat, the song accepts that mistakes are a part of life that we cannot escape. By leaning into repetition and blurring the lines of melodic structure, the song fights against the notion that true change is impossible. We are part of an exciting story full of highs and lows where mistakes lead to growth and messiness brings joy. Full steam ahead!

Lyrics
I've been doing all
I've been doing alright
Just a matter of
Just a matter of timeUntil all my patience runs dry
My inner demons come to lifeI keep making the same mistakes
And playing 'em on repeat in my brain
I'm ridin' the ring of fire with no brakesA predictable
A predictable sight
Irresistible
Irresistible driveDown to the depths where vices thrive
Bottom feeder devoid of life -
