Danika Portz is unique.
Her first tour was of nursing homes. In Iowa. When she was eight. Seriously.

A native of the Hawkeye State, Danika's nursing home tour was her mother’s idea for getting people to hear her talented daughter sing. It worked. The tour led to competitions, choirs, professional theatre, fairs and festivals, real tours and her debut album, Set This World On Fire.

Danika’s unique vocal style brings a fresh take to pop music, infusing influences ranging from Mumford and Sons to Kacey Musgraves to Katy Perry. In addition, her songwriting puts a unique stamp on storytelling that connects audiences with her songs. After all, as Danika says, “That’s why we do music, to make people feel something.”
