Terms of Service

Last updated November 3, 2026

These terms cover the use of anacrusissongs.com (the site), run by Anacrusis in Nashville, Tennessee. By using the site, or an account on it, you agree to them.

What the site is for

The site presents the Anacrusis catalog so that music supervisors, editors, producers and labels can find and evaluate songs for licensing. Nothing on the site is a license. Using a recording in a film, television show, advertisement, game, podcast, trailer or any other production requires a written license from Anacrusis first.

Evaluation use only

Streams, downloads and pitch links are provided so that you can audition songs for a particular project. You may:

  • play and download songs to evaluate them, and to cut temporary mixes in private, for a production you are considering them for;
  • share a pitch link with colleagues working on that production.

You may not:

  • use a recording in anything that is released, broadcast, published, posted or shown to the public without a license;
  • share, post, resell or redistribute files or pitch links beyond the production they were sent for;
  • strip, alter or obscure credits or metadata;
  • use the catalog, its metadata or its audio to train or evaluate machine-learning models.

Downloaded files remain the property of their owners. Delete them when the project is over, or when we ask.

Accounts

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under it. Music-supervisor accounts are reviewed by our staff before they are opened. We may close an account that breaks these terms.

Licensing

Licenses are agreed separately, in writing, and set the fee, term, territory and media. Song pages show whether a song is a one-stop, meaning Anacrusis controls both the recording and the composition, so that you can judge clearance; confirm it in the license itself before relying on it.

Everything on the site, including recordings, compositions, lyrics, artwork, text and the catalog itself, is protected by copyright and belongs to Anacrusis, its writers and artists, or its licensors. Nothing here grants you any rights in it beyond the evaluation use above.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the site up and the catalog accurate, but we provide both as they are, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site or from reliance on it. Audio on the site is for evaluation; delivery masters come with a license.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, and disputes belong to the state or federal courts in Nashville.
