Walking Man
Walking Man are an indie rock duo rooted in psychedelic folk and experimental pop. Ever-embracing of the avant-garde, Walking Man have a free-spirited and inventive approach to musical compositions and instrumentation, one that allows them to explore a sonic universe rich with theatrics and mystical storytelling. Heavily-influenced by the various regional and folk traditions of the Appalachian, the Mississippi Delta, and those of West Africa, as well as 60s pop and pyschedelia, Walking Man is a band that knows no boundaries. Their creative influences span traditions across centuries and decades, a playground affording them much room for inspiration and reinvention.

High on a mountaintop
That's where I was born
That's what they told me
That's what they told meIn a city on a hill
The light shinning on me
Shinning on me
Shinning on meThere are people hungry
In the places we don't see
Where we don't see
Where we don't seeHigh on a mountaintop
High on a mountaintop
High on a mountaintop
The light shinning on usIn our city, city on a hill
In our city, city on a hill
In our city, city on a hill
In our city, city on a hillThere are people next to you
Who can't pay the doctor
Can't pay the doctor
Can't pay the doctor1 in 31 of us
Lives a life behind bars
Lives behind bars
Lives behind barsWhen they gambled what we saved
We wouldn't jail the banker
Won't jail the banker
Won't jail the bankerHigh on a mountaintop
High on a mountaintop
High on a mountaintop
The light shinning on us(Repeat Chorus Twice)
Here we are, here we are, here we are
Here we are, here we are, here we are -

Lyrics
We were young
And faintly hearted
Still we were against it all
And I will know the wayLike the light
Is coming or going
It's a little different here
And I will know the wayAnd I will know the way
And I will know the wayAh, ah, ah…
Amber waves
Tall grass growing
In the restless(painted) high hills
Shadows playAnd I will know the way
And I will know the wayAnd I will know the way
And I will know the way(Repeat Chorus)
And I…

The feathered faces
And girls in fancy dresses
When you're a guest at the masquerade you can be the one you want to beThere will be dances
And triumphant processions
But don't be alarmed when you find that you're not exactly where you think you areAt the masquerade
At masquerade ball
At the masquerade
At masquerade ballI'll be a wild man
And you be my temptress
We'll play a game where you guess who truly is the man behind the mask(Repeat Chorus)
As the lines that we drew fade
We live in the masqueradeWouldn't dare plan our escape
We live in the masquerade(Repeat Chorus Twice)

Lyrics
When we only feed obsession
When we only feed
No joy for the conqueror
For the conqueror(Chorus)
I'm rushing towards it
While completely still
I'm moving in on them nowI saw the blue rider
The blue rider
In a place that's undivided
Undivided(Repeat Chorus)
And they rattle round and round
While I'm weightless in the clouds
And they rattle round and round
In a whirlwind towards the ground(Repeat Chorus)
I saw the blue rider
The blue rider -
